The marking on Thursday went extremely well and I thank everybody for their help and co-operation. The basket sponsorship was won by David Ewers of Bicester and I will be sending a cheque for £100 to him. Why not have a go yourself next year and sponsor a basket for the BBC? It will cost you £25 and you have a chance every race for two years to bag £100. I have spoken to Nigel Rigiani, our convoyer for the Lamballe Young Bird National tonight. He has told me that the 1327 birds arrived at the race point today and all are looking good and the birds have been drinking well in the baskets. The weather on the way down was not very good but about 4 p.m. this afternoon it cleared and was warm and sunny. The forecast for tomorrow is extremely good with clear skies and a light south east wind. It is hoped therefore to have an early liberation. I will update this line morning at 8 o’clock.
